Nice view - I love Tasmania. On my property, there's often kangaroos and wallabies grazing very early in the morning. In the afternoon, there's always lots of different birds around. Our neighbour has been feeding them for years - Parrots, Gallahs, and thousands of Cockatoos. When they finish eating, they come for a drink in my damn. I never tire of watching them.

Watching my daughter in a swimming tournament. Well, I'm supposed to be watching her, but there are too many pushy parents screaming at their kids, so I've taken a back seat to check out TB until her heat.

Some friends came over for a jam. Good musos, but lightweights in the drinking department. It's 3am and they're all asleep, except for my girlfriend who is trying to read what I'm typing, but she's so drunk, she can't maintain a coherent sentence. I wish she'd just go to sleep - she's an annoying drunk.

Now she's giving me a hard time for calling her an "annoying drunk". I should have said "obnoxious". Now I'm in for it, so time to go.

I just spent 45 minites in torrential rain rescuing my pump (from the damn) from going underwater. It's being hammering rain here for days, and it's getting very old. Of course my German Shepherd - the noble Sir Zachary, insisted on coming with me (he never leaves my side), so I spent another half an hour trying to wash the mud off him. My terrier (Worf) stayed in the house (he's no fool). It just goes to show, there's a very fine line between loyalty and stupidity.
