Every once in a while I see something that shows how much time has passed by. I got on line a few minutes ago and saw a Life magazine advertisment commemorating the 50th anniversary of JFK's election to the presidency. (!!??!!??!!). I was 7 at the time!
Just last week it hit me that next July I'll have been in my house for 20 years. At first I thought no way, I've got to be wrong about that and realized that yeah, it's been that long.
My son it 27....I'm a grandfather....where is it going?
No, I'm not freaking out about anything at all. Just cannot believe how fast the years have flown by.
Anybody else? |

I remember when I was a kid that a year seem like ages. Now it doesn't seem like its all that long. And im only 18

Anybody else? | I feel the same way. I started a somewhat similar thread recently where I was lamenting just how damn quick my kids seem to be growing up. My oldest is 16, but it honest to god just seems like it was maybe 3 years ago tops when he was an infant....
That, plus the fact that mentally, I still feel like I'm in my 20's or early 30's maybe. Then I look in the mirror and it's like "holy crap, where did all those freaking wrinkles come from!??" Time seems to go a lot faster the older you get.

But yes, as 2 year olds, 1 year is half our life span, as 40 year old's, whatever, a year is one 40th of that.

Time is not tangible, its a made up construct used to control the public. Its all relative.
