I got a mad fit and went cooking.
Boiled me up a nice big lump of bacon, chopped it into bitesized chunks, soaked it in a whiskey marinade for a few hours, and wok fried it in it's own marinade. FWIW, I used Gentleman Jack in the marinade.
Mighty tasty.
