Who does not use Itunes

Curious of those here who use something like Floola or Banshee instead of itunes to manage their ipods,

I have tried the following....

Amarok, Banshee, and Floola under Ubuntu. Not as impressed with those as of yet, but thats just a learning curve. Itunes so far is easier for me to use, but I am getting away from Windows so I have to learn these other platforms.

I use the software that came with my Samsung Eternity. Winamp is simple as well.

I have never used iTunes, or for that matter any of the others. If I decide I like them, I buy the CD or down load it straight to my PC, then burn it off to CD/DVD. Old fashion I guess, but one of the fun things for me when I buy music is to read liner notes! I'm a computer geek by profession, so I have numerous PC's in the house as well as a few servers, I have about 3 TB of space on one server, and my sound system is wired up to that, and I have a clever little addition to my car CD, Kenworth made these Keg O' Music hard drives that basically hooked up where an iPod would now a days. I think the original ones were like 300M hard drives they were selling for like $200, and this whe the hard drive off the shelf at that size should have been maybe $60. I hacked the software and use 500G and 1T hard drives in a removable frame. I can basically take about 200 hours of my music with me on a road trip and pull it up on the Car Stereos face, like a menu. No jewel cases to break or loose.Still don't have an iPod tho'....

*raises hand*

I use Windows Media Player to rip stuff (if it isn't in digital format already), cus its free, and was already on both my computers.

I use my LG Chocolate Flip to play tunes, cus I got it free. The fact that I can listen thru phones OR the built in speaker comes in real handy since my car's stereo doesn't work and im to lazy/cheap to fix it.

I use itunes in a VM with Ubuntu. Only because I have an Iphone and there is no app that can sync with it that runs natively in linux.

I only use iTunes when I absolutely have to. I use Windows Media Player for my everyday listening and music management, and then iTunes for transferring to and from ipods.

I can't stand iTunes. I even deleted it off my Mac. I use Floola which is a much better program now than a year ago.

I don't use iTunes. Then again, I also don't own an MP3 player.

Why is it better than Itunes to manage your Ipod?

I use it as little as possible, only when updating my ipod. I actually prefer windows media player, but no later version than v.10.

What's the difference between iTunes and something like floola?

I honestly don't see a problem with itunes, always runs perfect for me, easy to use etc.

I have no need for iTunes. If I want music, I buy the CD and rip the music to a player. Most of what I listen to on the music side is oldies, anyway.

Much of what's on my MP3 player is classic radio drama and suspense shows from the 1930's through 1950's. Green Hornet, Sherlock Holmes, Charlie Chan, Have Gun Will Travel, Suspense, Tales of Texas Rangers...all available on CDs and DVD today.

I use itunes for music management, never for buying music. I can't stand the 256 kbs, sounds like crap.

Seriously. iTunes keeps my music so well organized and once you tweak the interface to the way you want it (displaying the tags you want, etc.), it's really quite easy to use.

Exactly. It is honestly the easiest music organizer that I have ever used and it works with my ipod. There is no downside to it. I have never understood why people would use something else. I would shoot myself if I had to go back to windows media player or winamp.
