+1. I'm pretty busy outside of work, I have a lot going on, my only real downtime is work. My job is mindless, because no one above me actually understands how to do what I do, so when I drag work out, they still think I'm ahead of time.

Of course, I start a new job in 2 weeks, so my time on TB will probably be drastically reduced.

I have a pocket PC, so I can sign on discretely during class and pretend like I'm taking notes.

What a shame.

I multitask - I take notes, debate with the professor on a myriad range of issues, and post rather frequently on TB.

But when I go back to my apartment, I could care less about you and your fellow slackers.

Wait... what'd the professor say about the Court's opinion? Crap, I missed what he said!

would you like me to mail them to you from my pocket PC? You know I do take notes and I've made some good scratch selling electronic notes to classmates

Of the 9 hours that I'm at my job a day (including my lunch period) I am logged on to talkbass for a solid 7 hours. Granted, I'm not always at the computer, but most of the time I've got it there, minimized.

My job would slowly but surely drive me absolutely insane if I didn't have TB to fall back on.

I have a 2 monitor setup at my desk: one is hooked up to a KVM switch that allows me to switch between 8 computers, and is the one I do all my real work with, and the other is on TB. Period.

Not me, I am not in school and I don't have access to a computer during work. It is called physical labour, you should try it sometime.

Tried it. Still do it on the side. The new job is a lot easier on the knees and back. And I can check out TB.

When I was in high school I used to go on all the time. The teacher was a bass player so he didn't mind.

...Until it was blocked.

I think it had to do with all the mentions of "bass porn"

Nice! I too have the dual monitor setup at my work station and pretty much do the same thing.

You'd think they'd consider that educational. I saw a salmon mating special on Discovery Channel just last night!
