After playing Battlefield 2142 for a solid 4 years, Battlefield Bad Company 2 is coming out on Tuesday. Looking at all the gameplay info and trailers, it unequivocally appears to be the most badass FPS on the market right now.
oh yeah, and unlike Modern Warfail 2, it actually has DEDICATED SERVERS, which in and of itself makes this the superior game.
Happy Shootin'!

MW, the original, had dedicated servers. This meant that people kept coming up with stupid rules (No last stand, no tubes, no whatever) and kicked people if they didn't obey.
In MW2, eveyone plays the game as intended, and people deal with it because there is no other option.
Not sure if thats the reason, but it seems plausable to me.
As to Bad Company 2, looks like a good game, might have to get it :P

Anyways I played the beta for Bad Company 2 (PC) and it was nothing like the Battlefield series (2 and 2142 are the ones I played the most). It was limited to one map. I mainly saw explosions and snipers.

Sure you can play MW2 but after a few years of same maps it gets stale
after all these years of MW it is still fresh because there are hundreds of custom maps and weapon styles out there to play on
I will prob get this after the price/hype dies down

| | | | I looked at the game tonight but it is only a 1 player game so I would be unable to play with my kids om the same console. As a result, I passed on buying the game. That's the one thing I love about Halo and can't stand about many other games that I would buy if they offered the same feature.

you couldn't be more wrong sir. The whole battlefield franchise is built upon multiplayer. The single player campaign in BC2 is more of an afterthought than anything else...

And i want some of the Modern Combat maps in the game too. I miss those maps.

When I picked up the game, it only said 1 player so I put it back.

Their server browser is HORRIBLE. Takes forever to update!

bc | I got the same deal.... slickdeals or techbargains or something right? Pretty nice. And I thought I would have to pass on this one because of budget woes.
I haven't got to multiplayer on this one yet but I know from previous games in the BF franchise, the browsing can be sped way up by filtering out some options -- I go for no password, punkbuster, non-empty, non-full. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
