I could not find a thread where you gather for jamming contests, online jamming or some other kind of web 2.0-Sessioning here in the forum, like I found on most other music related forums.
Theese projects dont always work is my impression, for most people get stuck in many mp3-attachments in forums, wich are hard to navigate and check out. I have been checking on music collaboration everywhere, for I live in the countryside and dont have many real-life musicians to play with around in my area, but I do some homerecording and would like to interact more with other people.
If you have any experience in this or would like to show&share some of your skills, please contact me or check out whats happening on my web-jam-site, http://www.wikiloops.com! thanx!

As for Wikiloops, I love the idea! If I understand, the site is yours? I can lend a hand on the interface design if you want.

I get what you mean. I'd be down for jamming, I'll check it out when I get back home on my comp. |

Pretty sweet. You get to listen to the files everyone else is doing and then you take them down into protools/cubase/sonar/whatever and add your part to it and everyone check it all out and fiddles with it.

Both myself and a friend in Arizona use pro tools and reason with the same sound banks. You can email that type of stuff fairly easily. Its a quick way to get stuff done so you aren't just playing over an mp3, but can change the midi, extend passages, etc. |

I signed up and started an account, so I'll sniff around and see if there's anything that motivates me. |
