Who here uses pomade?

Sign in to disble this ad
My hair is the driest, coarsest, and curliest thing in the world, and i have some pomade lying around here. It says work a dab or two in my hair, but that doesn't do ****. Thats like trying to polish your entire car with 2 drop of wax. It's not going to happen.

So, What do you use and how do you use it? I'm just trying to get some life into that thing.

Not really.
Actually no.

Its kind of like wax that you put in your hair? Is this a man law violation?
It shouldn't be.

Anyway, unlike my last serious thread, I've gone to google, and have come back empty handed. I need EXACT proportions. None of these take a little in your hand and emulsify nonesense.

I know what it is, it was a joke.

A friend of mine uses it. He puts it on his comb when he brushes his hair. Not too much either.

If there's a rockabilly section on the double bass forum, you might wanna ask there.

I tried using it but I think my hair is too fine for it, went back to other "product." My old man's always used it, but he's well... an old man.

I use it, i have thick and coarse hair too, gel just isn't strong enough for me. I get a good scoop on my index and middle fingers, then rub it together on my hands. Don't get too much though or your hair gets slimy.

What brand do you guys use? Right now i have some "got2be" junk. Don't think it works.

And when do you guys put it in? Wet hair? after shower? dry hair? wet hair then put it in?

Thanks.

I usually put it in with my hair slightly damp, and I used to use American Crew Pomade, but now I use the Axe stuff. They both work about the same.

When I use it I heat it up with my hair dryer, makes it more pliable. My hair is thick too, and heating it up helped. Lessons learned Living in Memphis,Tn.

im sure this violates man rules.. but i was young at the time.

i had got2be glued once.. it took 3 days to wash out. it didnt set right away, so i had to hang my head upside down for about 20 minutes.

ive got thick hair. ive lost a pen in there before.

i used pomade once. i was going out to a club one night and my buddy asked if i wanted to use some of his stuff. apparently pomade. went to bed with a mohawk.. woke UP with a mohawk. rock solid. loved that stuff.

Damn.

But wait. Dont you have to be in your twenties and already married for these things to apply? If not, what happens now?
