Who here's Finnish?

How many people here are Finnish? I've accidentally noticed a few already. I'm a dual citizen of Finland and the US, but I only go to Finland once a year to visit family. It's always nice to find Finnish people on forums though. The only person I regularly speak Finnish to is my mother (she's from Finland) and other than that whenever a relative calls. So, who's out there?

Representing the northern half! I'd expect Deacon will pop in next, he's a southern fellow IIRC. I've seen a couple of lurkers with 1-2 posts, too, maybe we'll get them to show up.

Hey, if there isn't one yet, there could be a Finnish bassists club. That'd be cool. If there's enough people, it could work. We got members #1 and 2 now I suppose.

Should this be moved to another forum? Not sure if I put it in the right one.

Here I am.

Not really southern, more western actually. I'm a "hurri", belonging to the swedish speaking minority in Finland. My roots are in a small town in the southwestern part of Finland, but I live and work a few hundreds of km further up north. Not too far away from Stuggi, actually. That's 100 km further up north. Let's see when he pops in...

What town's that? My family's more from the south eastern part. We're Savonlinna people. So, if we start a club, anyone wanna join?

I'm also a dual US/Finnish citizen, even if my home town long time ago was Kristinestad on the West coast of Finland. But by now the majority of my life I've been living in Silicon Valley of Northern California.

I wanna learn Finnish, I think it's a really cool sounding language.
I only know very basic phrases at the moment though.

I wish I was Then our band would have one Icelander, two Norwegians, a swede and a finnish dude. That'd be ultimate imo.
