Long first post, or seeing 17 pages of responses before you even get to it? |

If it looks like a "yes it is, not it's not" kind of thread, that will really obviously have too camps on the issue, then I generally avoid it. But if it's something random and it's getting a lot of hits then I usually check it out because I know there's gonna be some OT hilarity going on there. THat's the long answer.
Short answer. Shut the hell up. |

"OMGZORZ I gotz me a new Epihone P-bass for $49, what amp should I YOOZ??!??!!one?1!1!!exclamationpoint?" I'm pretty much gonna stay away from.
But if a guy has a truly screwed up rig or some really specific topic about his gear, hell yeah I'll read it. If I can help, I definitely would. If not, it's still a learning experience in case I ran into his kind of problem.
But here in Off-Topic... there better be a Maki-Dis feud kickin' or I ain't stickin! |

Speaking of which where is Mike "Very Special", he promised me 10 more mentions of his confiscated kazoo and by my count, he was only up to 6. You can't trust anyone these days.

I'll see an interesting looking thread, and then I see the page count (1,2,3,4,5,6...Last Page), and I'm just like, man, no way do I feel like lookin through all that...

It weally depends on the subject. I hate when there is the start to a good discussion and then it goes waaaaay off topic and further as it goes on.
I hate it if it looks like it'll be worth wandering through fifteen pages. but then you start reading it and page three starts a pointless new topic, but you try to gut it out in hopes that it'll go back on track. Then on page five that topic changes to yet another, then another n page eight...and so on.
Hatehatehate that.

Because, you see, someone might have said the exact thing around about post number 23 or the thread, and then I'd look like an idiot.
