I did!
went yesterday, saw a bunch of bands.
alot of em sucked, to be blunt. However, I did enjoy Black Tide, Machine Head, 5 Finger Death Punch, and the headlining bands (minus Dragonforce)
Disturbed was AWESOME!!! Great band live. Slipknot was really good live, too (and I don't even like em that much)
weed was EVERYWHERE. I had a contact high all day.

How was Suicide Silence? A lot of scene kids fighting invisible ninjas in the pit? They are the band I want to see most and I have a feeling im going to be mowing them down when I get going.
And did 5FDP play The Way Of The Fist?

Mastodon and Disturbed ain't bad, saw Mastodon live at a local festival and they were a disappointment though, almost slept through the set, sure they had better days though.
Meh only band I'd pay to watch there is Airbourne.
Also scene kids can't mosh.

meh, I really didn't like em. Not a big fan. Yes, they had a LARGE mosh pit, with a BUNCHA behemoth skinheads bashing people to a pulp.
that's another thing I noticed: there was a profusion of white supremacists present, and they were all ENORMOUS.
and I have no clue what songs 5FDP played. Before mayhem, I've never heard em before. They were excellent though, and they were very together onstage.
I'd say the best band in terms of showmanship was Machine Head. They really knew had to involve people and get em revved up.

Mastodon was excellent! Airbourne SUCKED!!! Easily one of the worst bands there. So friggin annoying!
and it was anything but a scene kid fest. There were TONS of seasoned metalheads and skinheads that showed up.

IMO the Black Tide pit was the most fun. Not too much actual damage, but lotsa people bouncing around. A few crowd surfers too, didn't see much of that for any other bands.

They got no love lol and I personally thought they sucked. |

I go to a concert to have a ****ing great time, not leave with a broken nose! I like the moshes where everyone just pushes and shoves. Not the ones where people run into eachother at full speed and then beat each other down.

I might have to go. I played with those guys for awhile they should be freakin signed by now! www.myspace.com/stuckinkaos
Their drummer is possibly the best drummer I have ever played with. The recording kinda lets know how good he is, but their live show can't be touched. The drummer does freaking stick acrobatics and waving his arms around without missing a beat. Incredible.
I couldn't commit to the time requirements with a kid and had to quit.

Shame I couldn't go (but in the end glad I didn't buy a ticket, I wound up really badly hurting my toe on Saturday and would have died standing all day or even more joining a mosh pit) | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
