Rutger Hauer

or

Lance Henriksen

Personally, I think Lance Henriksen has slightly more "B" movie appeal, the Rutger has a hair style that's made for the B movie.

I only recognise the faces and not what they have been in so just for the picture, Lance Henriksen.

Well, I like Rutger because he is the best Dutch actor there is.
He is very cool.

But I have to go with Lance, because I love the "Alien" movies.
Also his other work I enjoy.

I personally think Rutger Hauer is more B-movie type. Wich isn't a bad thing.
I like B-movies.

Good question, both great actors within the same range.
Can't decide, still love them both.

You should look them up, they have both been in some awesome (and some abysmal) movies. Notably, Blade Runner (Rutger Hauer) and Aliens (Lance Henriksen). If you see them in a movie made today, you can pretty much guarantee it went straight to DVD as they are masters of the B movie.

Rutger's speech at the very end of Blade Runner alone makes him the obvious choice. I was never really compelled with the "Bishop" character...just a pacifistic "Cameronized" take on Ash (in the original Alien) / Terminator 2's "softer, kinder, friendlier" robot with a heart...damn I've grown to hate that movie.

Don't get it twisted, I dug Pumkinhead, and Milennium and some of Lance's other work, but I get chills from the aforementionned speech, everytime I watch blade runner.

Oh, and Rutger's take on Cardinal Roark in Sin City was brilliant as well. His turns in "surviving the game" and LEXX were pretty wicked too.

True, those guys are definitely master of the b movies.

Although Rutger Hauer did have a small part in Batman Begins and Sin City. But other that those two movies I can't think of another one that made it to the big screen or atleast stayed there long.

my favorite Rutger movie is "Blind Fury". It's pretty much the epitome of cheesy 80's action flicks.

My vote goes to Rutger

Lance. I just saw him on "Pumpkinhead" last night. What a corny movie but even then he played a good role. If an actor can squeak out a decent role in a bad movie, he/she gets my vote.

I'd have to give the edge to Rutger Hauer. He was such a BADASS in Bladerunner. I wonder why he's not doing much lately, or did I miss something???

FL, check out Rutger on his IMDB. He's pretty busy still, I think.

Could be self-imposed if not...who knows? I just think he's completely underrated.

Does BladeRunner save Rutger from his performance in Wedlock?

I don't think Lance ever played a part that was conisdered "cool" like Hauer in Bladerunner. I'm not sure there's a comparison there. Bishop was annoying, but not cool.

True. I was going on "what they're known for" over "cool factor" with that comment.

That said, Milennium was a great show.

Rutger. Bladerunner >>>>> any of the Alien(s) movies, and his role was much more memorable than any of Henriksen's.

Rutger Hauer inhales vigorously IMHO, so my vote goes to Mr. Henriksen.
