Didn't see the '75 Ken Russel movie. My parents gave me the soundtrack one Christmas, but I never played it.
Saw the Who every time they came to Seattle. Met 'em outside the back door smoking cigs after one Coliseum show, minus Townsend. They were short!
Stopped going to see 'em after Moonie died. Couldn't bear it. Tho I sent my wife solo twice.
Tommy is one of the all time great rock albums!!

Writing rock operas is a whole additional level of difficulty above and beyond writing and performing individual hits. Those two groups did something special.
