I like using Google Chrome as my browser, its very lightweight and quick, but for some reason it does not get along with Flash at all, whenever I may have 1 too many youtube videos up, or something else flash based, bam, the whole thing locks and I either get something telling me the flash drivers have crashed or have to go through task manager to shut the whole thing down.
Sometimes I'll be fine, and other times it'll randomly lock up repeatedly whenever I open up a video or whatever, and 've tried re-installing the drivers and everything to no avail. Yesterday, due to some annoying long time graphics driver problems I was having, I did a total system recovery, which means that I downloaded and installed a brand new fresh copy of chrome, and its STILL giving me these problems, so I ask, has anyone else ever had these issues, and if so, did you find a way to fix it? Its driving me crazy.

Why does Flash hate Chrome? Probably the same reason anybody hates anything else... deply rooted xenophobia.

Flash is a competitor to both Google and to Microsoft Silverlight. They don't play well together. Flash problems with iPhone and iPad are well documented.

| | THIS HAND OF MINE GLOWS WITH AN AWESOME POWER! | | Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: USA; Mitchellville, Maryland | | | I'm starting to see the Flash hate EVERYTHING THAT I LOVE! Been using Chrome for years, and in the last few days it's just been one big train of suck. I always have 2-4 tabs with up with flash video and my CPU usage has been stupid high thanks to Flash alone. If I leave my browser open long enough I can get into the red zone with my RAM (4GB). I panicked and bought an upgrade kit then I found out the Flash just starts snacking on your memory if you leave those web pages open for too long. I grabbed a memory manager and I can just see my free memory go from 1.5ish GB down to 400MB over the course of a day or so. Seriously, Flash needs to die, like, yesterday.
Also, flash based websites are useless for anything other than looking pretty and yet practically every musician has a Flash built page! All I want to do is save some pictures! Is that too much to ask?
