I could have been in columbia, the congo, or other places where I may have been given an AK47 at age 9 and told to point and shoot.
I could have been Alfred, king of england around 865.
I am having a hard time putting my current feelings into words.
Maybe if you brood on the following we will come close to each other in thought.
I feel a connection through my human condition to other people of a human condition but simultaneously feel a drastic gulf between myself and people in completely different situation such as those people born in war zones.

I thought about it in passing a few times. Where and when I was born is a fact that cannot be altered (at least, I don't know how), and I don't think that I would even if I could.
P.S. Any good job openings at Sweetwater? I'm in job searching mode. Funding ran out on my research position and unemployment is just starting to kick in.
