I've seen this happen a lot. I don't get it? Why is it such a problem to at least inform a user if his/her thread is in the wrong some how?
My thread was about girl probs, with all "profanities" auto-covered by Talkbass's filter. And all the replies were relatively clean... so I don't get it.
Whats the deal?
If it helps any, it was titled ":sigh: Another thread about a woman..."

It happened to me once and I never got any resolution, so I cried myself to sleep and eventually I got over it. Most forums will tell you why you were banned/probated/edited... different system here. |

I suggest the OP checks with a mod for this forum if somehow this got overlooked.

The OP's original message is in violation of the TB's rules because it is questions the Mods.
Tbirdbassist, the best thing to do is to PM Paul or them Mods to the forum the thread was deleted from. |

BTW, my "No it isn't" referred to the end of the post I quoted, not the beginning. Sorry for the confusion.

Is there a specific procedure in place to notify a member of a problem with their post so they may have the option of correcting their post rather than be deleted outright? If not, that might be something to consider. Just a thought.

all in all, it's pretty clear what you are allowed to write on TB. of course sometimes it's difficult to define the exact line of what's allowed and what not, but overall i have nothing to complain about.
i don't take it too seriously anyways. |

Sometimes you cant really bother adding *s when you're in a real bad situation and you're freaking out. The post editor masked the profanities automatically, i think it wouldve been better if you get asked to fix the error yourself and if you dont your thread gets deleted or something. |

I think this is something that should be publicly discussed: It's happened to me a few times. If a thread is closed, I think it should immediately be followed by a PM to the original poster stating why, it's an extra 2 minutes out of the mods day, I don't think it's that much to ask.

I saw the original thread and this just might be possible. Not everything posted here is pure gold.
