Why are so many rich people stuck up?

Someone mentioned earlier, and Ill go off this point.

There are basically 3 types of rich folks....

1) Old money- These folks took risks, started their own business, made sacrifices, and dedicated their life to their business. These men often came from poverty and created their own wealth. Ive know old money. These are usually your more polite, down to earth, less judgemental folks.

2) 2nd Generation money- These folks just got lucky because they popped out of the right vagina at the right time. You can often find them in a McMansion (usually void of much furniture), a leased Lexus or Mercedes, and always turning up at premiere "social events". They spend their money on country club dues in lieu of having a sofa in their living room. These people are usally even snottier than the new generation money.

I'm not talking on a personal level but in a general, more global sense. Money buys power and influence. Fortunately, a lot of rich people use that power and influence in a constructive manner.

Haha. I have my faults, my friend, like everybody else. I just get a little despondent when folk lose perspective. You read what that guy is going through, and then come here to see nothing but petty oneupmanship and last-word merchants.

The Congressmen that represent Spade2u at the state and federal level are both heavily influenced, and backed by "the rich". Gosh, whose Congressman isnt beholden to "the rich" these days? Congress makes laws that affect us ALL, even spade2u himself.

I bet either his boss (or if he owns his own business) deals with the rich each day. And if he has a boss, he depends on a rich man for his paycheck. And if he is a business owner... he depends on the rich to make his company profitable.

I bet he watches NFL games too. NFL teams.. all owned by rich guys. I bet he has cable. All cable companies owned by rich guys. I bet he has a phone? Yep.... his rates and plan is dictated by a rich man.

And so on...

I was mostly playing around. I have somewhat of a sense of humor and am pretty twisted.

I'd like to care, but I have no faith in the political establishments (any and all sides) and little faith in people. Hubris, greed, and an inability to learn from the past seem to be constant mistakes. Too easy to blame various groups and I don't see any viable solutions.

As much as musicians tend to like picking at the upper class, the poor don't always do things to help themselves. Easy to blame, but not many can acknowledge their own mistakes. The banks and my university encouraged me to take out much bigger loans. I said "nope". A lot of others fell for it. People got greedy, just as much as banks.

Rich and poor alike, a lot of people lost their homes and jobs. We had an economy based on frivolous spending. When things got tight, the dung hit the fan because it wasn't a stable foundation.
