flea was just a major pothead. never really got into hard drugs at all. if you consider pot a major threat to society, you've got bigger fish to fry

It might not kill you and might not be as agresive as other drugs, but it does create adiction on the long run somehow like coffe. And it makes you retarded too...

It is a threat to society, maybe not the scariest one, but definetly a threat.

If drugs were like a mansion then pot would be the front door. It's rare that you just stay with pot. I know it led me to do other things. But hey, that was a cool clip. The Chile Peppers always had great stage presence.

Actually, it's rare that you move on to stronger stuff, it's just that nearly everyone who goes on to the stronger stuff started off with pot.

I used to smoke alot when I was younger, and so did many of my friends. Out of probably 30-40 people I know who was into it, maybe two or three moved onto hard drugs.

Like most substances, if you overdo it, pot is not very good for you. We've all known a few people who toked up a little too regularly and were the mental equivalent of Bill and Ted. But I know people that have used it for years and years and hold down good jobs, raise a family and remain quite intelligent.

I guess when Richard Lloyd came to Dayton this last year his band had already left him. He was wasted and hit the bartenders car pulling in. Onstage, Which I heard was a mess, He twice turned his back to the crowd and snorted some unknown substance. My keys player said it was a sad spectacle.

Back on topic: I do know alcoholics who have acomplished the same achivements as the people you mention... But most of the alcoholics I know have really effed up lives...
Same goes with pot... and even without overdoing it.
