Is Wi-Fi Bad for your health? http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/columns/article.php/3095831
I often have my son playing around my laptop while its on. I've recently gone hardwire, because I dont want to risk any harm to him.
Am I being overly cautious?

Baiman references a study at the University of Washington in which rats lost long-term memory after exposure to radiation

Of course WiFi is bad, but it's not as bad as not making positive conscious nutritional choices or the off gasing that your furniture is poisoning you with.
Try to be good to yourself instead of worrying about what's bad.
buy new products accordingly. |

I try not to set my laptop near my wee-wee when I'm using it. Other than that, I'm not too worried.

J/K, seriously though, if your that paranoid, you will never be able to walk into a mcdonalds, starbucks, grocery store, library, apartment complex, commercial building, college, mall, or suburban neighborhood because they all emit wi-fi signals. |

I know that I cannot protect my 3 year old or myself from everything at all times, including radiation. However, I do take protective measures when it seems *reasonable to me*. For example, I have not had a microwave oven in 8 years, and I don't own a cell phone. Yes, I do occasionally use these things so I am not a freak about it. However, whenever I can, I try to minimize harmful things like radiation.
By the way, interesting tidbit...
Often when someone is diagnosed with a brain tumour, its in the same shape as the antenna of their cellphone.
Food for thought perhaps?
I am just wondering just how significant Wi-Fi radiation is. Worse than a microwave, better than a cell phone?
(and no, I dont smoke, drink, or do drugs)

Food for thought perhaps? | Do you have any proof or is this just hear-say?
Also, consider the difference in power output from the likes of a microwave to a wifi card.
I guess you moved house to stay away from any overhead power lines? Those can be nasty too.
Just last year a guy in my home town died because of overhead power lines . . .
(honestly, nothing what so ever to do with him hitting one with a metal pole).

As I said, I havent owned a microwave oven in 8 years.

Sheesh, you guys sure are combative in OT. | Your combative!
And no, the reason I asked is because a tumour forms from a single cell. Granted, there can be other cells surrounding it that are starting to display mutation or whatnot, but you need to make all 6 "hallmarks of cancer" to form a tumour (well, a metastatic one, dare say you dont for a benign one). Which in itself seems to make any similarity to an antenna coincidental.
