So we don't have any so-called plans but we might see a museum or 2 and just mainly wander.

Any clubs we should check out? or music stores or just plain cool places that aren't the normal tourist crap?

we are into lots of music.. indie, jazz, funk..

how bout eats? i don't eat meat but do eat seafood

we are staying at the hilton in times square by central park

Well if you like the funk, I'll be playing at the Canal Room on Thursday night with Sandra Small, an awesome funk/R&B/Rock singer. The band is tight, and made up of NYC studio musicians, with quite possibly the best Latin rhythm section around! It's a classy place, and the headliner is incredible, too - a piano rock guy called Sdoun.

There are tons of interesting museums in NY. I'd recommend the AMNH and the MET.

IF you're lucky you might be able to book a tour from Real New York Tours.

Don't just stay in Manhattan and check out Brooklyn or Queens.

Head down to Greenwich Village and wander around. Lots to eats, see and do.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) is huge, and has lots to look at. Could easily take up a day.
Hang out in Times Square if you want to be jostled and see lots of people not from NYC.

There's a Hilton near Central Park (53rd and 6th) and theres 2 in Times Square (48th and 8th, 42nd between 7th and 8th).

It's too bad you don't eat meat, because the best gyros in the city are at 53rd and 6th, at night.

For good Jazz, you can go to Cleopatras Needle, at Broadway and 92nd.

Sullivan Hall in the Village is a good place to see some music
