Windows 7 Upgrade Question

Sign in to disble this ad
Alright so I bought an LG laptop recently with Windows Vista installed. I'm now upgrading to Windows 7. However, with my laptop came some pre-installed LG software. Most of it I didn't use, but there was a nifty little gadget I had that was called LG Smart Indicator. It listed my battery status, wireless connection, brightness, volume etc. It's not like I couldn't get these things anywhere else on the computer of course, but I have consulted it many times. It's not life or death, but I was wondering if anyone else would have any suggestions on being able to obtain some software that came pre-installed on the machine. Meaning...
Should I ask LG? Should I browse their site? Is there any easier way to go about getting software that's usually pre-installed by companies?

Possibly a bit of an obscure question, but I figured I'd ask as you guys have been helpful before.

Your laptop probably came with some disks that have those utilities on them.

The upgrade will probably allow you to keep the nifty utility. You can contact LG's tech support to find out for sure.

All of the drivers / utilities *should* be available for download on their site as well.

it will be on their site. i had to get some drivers for my acer after the upgrade.

if 7 isn't listed, download the correct vista (32 or 64), and use the compatibility feature in the properties window of the setup icon.
