Windows Mail Client Replacement

So I grew tired of Outlook awhile back, and just stuck to using Gmail in my browser. However, I would like to look into another mail client now, but I don't want to go back to Outlook as I've always found it to be far too slow.

Can anyone recommend a good, fast, lightweight mail client?

I like Thunderbird, it has gotten a bit clunkier over the last 6 months or so, but I still find it much faster than Outlook.

I tried Thunderbird a week or two ago, something didn't click with me but I don't recall exactly why. I still have it installed, so maybe I'll give it another go, but...is there any other mail client?

There's a list of some there, I only really have experience with Outlook and Thunderbird. Hope that helps.
