Windows Movie Maker XP

Alright, I know Windows Movie Maker is freely available, but for some reason it won't appear in my Windows Update, and I can't find it anywhere else. Does anyone know how I can obtain this?

Just a shot in the dark, but did you check the XP disc?

I think I had it when I was using XP pro. I know for certain there are extra programs on the XP disc if you want them. For instance, XP Pro does not load the backup utility automatically for some reason.

Ahhhh, never mind.
Googled it.

LOL those are both my problems! I thought of the XP disc at first, but it isn't on there for some reason. That's what led me to search on the internet, and I found the exact site you sent me, of course that being the obvious choice, but it won't show up on the list of updates! Is my computer secretly conspiring against me to prevent me from obtaining this program?

Here's how you find the backup utility on the XP disc.

Quote:

Insert the CD Rom and navigate to CD-ROM Drive:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP
*

Double-click the Ntbackup.msi file to start the wizard that installs Backup
*

When the wizard is complete, click Finish.

Get ready for the "buy a Mac" suggestions!
