Wing Sauce Recipies

Sign in to disble this ad
So at work all of the different departments put on a BBQ once a month and it's our turn. We decided to do a "wing bar" and I volunteered to make a few different sauces.

I'll probably do 5 or 6. Buffalo, BBQ, Teriaki, Garlic Parm, and the other usual suspects.

Anyone have any good recipes? I know there are some good cooks here in TB!

Buffalo is literally Franks Hot and Butter in a 1 to 1 ratio. Don't mess around around with breadcrumbs or anything with this style. Just fry and toss in franks hot and butter.

I like to do the Franks recipe but add a few cloves of minced garlic and a few tablespoons of Pikapeppa Sauce. Gives it a little more flavor.

Or you could try La Brea Tar Pit Wings
just dont burn them

I also like the Frank's and butter recipe. This standard style of hot wings has always been my favorite over all the fancier flavors that you find at the wing shops.

I make a sauce with Frank's using the following proportions.

1/2 Franks
1/4 Kikkoman Teryaki Sauce.
1/4 Balsamic Vinegar

1 sploot of Lemon Juice for a lttle brightness.

I add 2 Tsp of Minor's Beef base. I make it in the big Franks
bottle. Good stuff.

For Buffalo sauce, it's not a 1 to 1 ratio; it's 2 to 1, Frank's to butter. If you want spicier, just add Tabasco.

Just marinate them in sriracha hot sauce, the one with the rooster. Oh yeah.
