Wireless timing out problems

I set up a wireless router on the middle floor yesterday and everything works fine for the 3 computers running Window$ upstairs (2nd floor) but my connection downstairs keeps timing out on both my Playstation 3 and Ubuntu laptop. Any ideas on why this is happening or how can I fix this?
