A woman approaches you...

Sign in to disble this ad
A woman, with whom you've had a one night stand, approaches you several years later and indicates that she became pregnant and had your child. She doesn't want anything from you, she just wanted to let you know that you have a child. What do you do?

Take her to court for visitation rights.

Man up. Be a dad and support your child.

Ask for a paternity test. If it really is mine, then ask to help out.

I'd ask her if she wants help making another kid seeing as she's perfectly happy taking care of our first one without my help.

I'd have the kid tissue typed to see if he's got any organs or tissues I may potentially need in the future. If the results are positive, I'd buy him a big wheel for his birthday.

Report it to The Enquirer and rest of the rag mags. It would have to be a sign from God. Immaculate conception.

+1. i wouldn't take a heavy handed approach here, since it was of her initiative that you found out about the child in the first place.

it's not like "she owed you". you knew the potential consequences of a one night stand just like she did, you could have been "the responsible dad" the days/weeks/months -after- you slept with her and found out if there were any "lasting effects".

I'd thank her kindly for the heads up and politely ask for my wallet back.

Exactly.
I would have a few tests done first though. If she is willing, more than likely that is the only test needed.

I'd want some evidence if I'm expected to have any role to play. Otherwise I'd carry on with my life.
