Woman run over by a herd of deer

I wonder if one had a Red Nose. Ok, sick joke, I know.

Quote:
Tarboro, N.C. — A Tarboro woman was recovering on Thursday after being run over by a herd of deer over the weekend.

Michelle Brewer said she was opening Brewer’s Fine Jewelry, 228 N. Main St., the store she co-owns with her husband, on Saturday morning when the incident occurred.

After Brewer parked her car next to the store, she walked around the corner and saw the deer.
“I remember seeing them and that was it,” Brewer said. “There was no time to do anything.”
A herd of about nine deer barreled down the sidewalk and ran over her.
Brewer said she could hear the hooves making prints on the ground and her body.
Brewer doesn’t remember much. Others who saw it happen gave her more specific details.

“They said I was flipping up into the air and I landed on my head and the rest of the deer just trampled over me,” Brewer said.
Tony Battle said he saw the incident from his barber shop across the street.
“It was amazing how that deer hit her and picked her up,” Battle said.
Brewer suffered bruises all over her body. She said her jaw also was injured.

Though Brewer did not go to the hospital initially, she said she is planning to visit her doctor and dentist soon.
In her 25 years owning a store downtown, Brewer said she has never seen a deer there.

Man, those are the kinds of calls Paramedics and ER staff live for...she should have called.
I would have run that call for free just for the story rights.

This will become more and more common. I anticipate people will start carrying 30-30s for deer protection.

Here's a video that happened a few miles from me in a VERY urban area. Most of the people sitting in this restaurant had probably never seen a wild deer in their life except when watching Bambi.

For years i have been spreading this warning, the deer are taking over the planet, trampling old women, seizing control of natrual resources, weazling their way into the government.

Nobody listens.. despite the proof that is undoubtedly there, as you can see in this article.

If Al Gore finds out we'll all be safe! Because he'll spread the word and set up a deer eradication credits company.

I had to think about this a second, and then I loled. It indeed does.

At least the deer in Michigan was polite enough to use the doors on the way out.

Well played.

As for the deer population, there's far more of us than them. It's just nature correcting for our excess population.
