Work place lunch theft

Edited: Do you have a problem with this? I'd find the hottest pepper known to man or the most powerful laxative and add it to my lunch to find the culprit.

What do you mean by "is it really a problem?"

Ive never had my lunch lifted from the work fridge, but its happened to a coworker once. Just once as far as I know, and I happen to think it was an accident.

While it's fun to talk about doing something like that or even putting ipecac in some food and then watching whoever stole your food get violently sick, actually doing that could possibly get you fired, arrested, beaten up, slapped, or worse.

I put really hot things in my food all the time, so that wouldn't be out of the ordinary for me. I'd honestly feel bad for someone that snatched my lunch and ate some habanero salsa chicken wraps.

Hi.

I have no idea what the op was about, the edited version doesn't give too many clues.

Stealing other persons nutrition or water is a primal reaction though, so perhaps there's some power play going on.

If I was still living alone, that'd hold true for me as well. Nowadays my GF restricts the amount of hottnes in dishes.

I (and everyone else) would probably notice very quickly if someone ate my hotter variety cookings though, and never to do that mistake again.

Sam

Somebody takes your food, and then wants to hit you because it wasn't good? Anybody to who came to me like that would regret it.

Do not add medicine, but hot pepper oil or fish sauce would either light them up or fish sauce in the microwave would show the culprit real quick.

I vote really hot pepper oil. Really clear, and still food so you can't get in trouble for doctoring food.

The other option is leave one in there with a really big red dot you color on it.

If someone eats it leave a note it contained your hormone therapy and they should really go see a doctor since they have been eating your food for so long.

Or for that matter, identify the culprit by other means, and tell him/her that those lunches contained your hormone therapy, and you're worried about him/her because it's really starting to show.

Actually no, as they wouldn't have ingested such things had they not STOLEN the food in the first place. Nothing illegal or immoral about putting things in your own food.

I have two small steaks for lunch today, and they are both covered with sriracha. A most tasty sauce!

I keep mine at my desk, most of the time in an insulated bag. You want it? Come and take it.

As for workplace lunch theft, yes it happens more often than most people think. Luckily it doesn't seem to happen at my office but I hear it often from my friends. And I definitely agree with going for the hot oil or fish sauce rather than laxative.

Dude it's the "redistribution of wealth" movement sweeping the nation. Why should somone go without, and someone else have it all?
