A world without money? Everything is free?

www.freeworldcharter.org

What do you guys think of this? It seems too Utopian just because of the massive paradigm shift required to implement it on a global level. But....it actually seems possible if there was some sort of massive economic collapse causing the world to have to eliminate money to fix it. I'm not super educated on this stuff but I want hear everyone's thoughts. Sorry if this is too political...

Unfortunately there will always be those whose greed goes unsatiated, and they'll always want more than there fair share.
They will not be content unless they have more than you, and they'll take from you in order to see that they do.

Watched the video and read the charter, unrealistic fantasy IMO.

Greed will exist even without money.

Have you ever wondered if that kind of "I want more than him" behavior is learned and not just human nature? Theoretically if this system was implemented wouldn't we be teaching our children to only take what they need or what is practical? Of course with technology advances how hard would it be for everyone to get what they want within reason? I sound like a commie.

In the future we'll have holographic televisions and the technology to fix your weiner. Problem solved. The real problem will be how come he has a P bass and I just have a crummy Jazz bass.

+1

Eliminating money only treats the symptom, not the cause.

Realistically greed will never go away but feeding and sheltering the whole planet seems pretty cool and feasible. Whatever though. I'll stop my hippie ramblings.

I think it's just a bit too romantic ans Utopian. The problem doesn't lie with governments, but with the people running them.

Now that I think about it in survival terms, you're right that it is. If we were born into a world of abundance where we never had to worry about having more to survive would that trait die out?

it would be nice to cut out the bit where people move numbers around the place electronically for personal gain. contributes nothing, achieves nothing.
