Now I like hot foods, but I really don't think I'd be able to handle this!

-Mike | I'm good with the selection we already have. Habanero's are hotter than I find pleasurable. Give me Pequins or Arbol peppers for dried, and Serranos for fresh, and I can live life a happy man!

It'll rock yer world in a jerk sauce. Fatali peppers are great dried, but are also generally too hot for fresh usage IMHO. I grow Pequins most years for drying, and try something new every year for fresh.
I try to stick with heirloom varieties. Modern unit-swinging hybrids rarely are as good IME. I'll probably give the Naga a pass on that basis alone, unless my local greenhouse dude forces one at me. |

That has to be one of my top five rums of all time!!!

The great thing about a habanero rum infusion is that you can control dosing with a lot more predictability than using fresh or dried peppers. Plus, it means you have Cockspur in the house...

I like HOT food.
I eat raw jalapenos like candy.
...but a regular old Scotch Bonnet/Habanero is about enough to kill ya'.
...and this thing is approaching 3x the Scoville units.
