Worst Design Flaws Ever?

Sign in to disble this ad
We've all seen some design flaws that obviously weren't thought out well, both inside and outside of the bass world. What have you found?

For instance, my Chevy HHR requires removing the front wheels to access to headlights. The lamp module doesn't pop out the front without removing the bumper, so you're taking the car apart one way or another. I just never thought I'd need a jack and a breaker bar to change a headlight.

There is this car company that puts a big blue oval on all their stuff. Looks like a design flaw to the untrained eye, but it is in fact a diagnostic readout telling you what is wrong with the car.

I've seen those... and avoid them. I always had an uneasy feeling about those blue ovals.

It's nearly impossible, if not impossible, to change the battery on my 2000 Stratus without removing the front left fender.

I had a pair of Adidas sneakers recently that had a shock-absorbing keyhole-shaped opening in the heels... this opening was exactly the size of typical gravel you encounter while jogging or dog-walking. IOW the heels were constantly full of gravel, stuck tightly in there.

I had really cheap Harbor Freight special drill on which the chuck screwed on to a threaded shaft attached to the motor. It would drill into something, but picture what happened when you tried to unscrew something that was torqued down. I'll give a hint, that's how I found out how it was attached. That was among the worst flaws I have seen.

At lest we can change our headlights without a tire tool....

Hey, chevy ain't infallible, but he can at least rely on his one headlighted HHR to get him to work

As they say, a Chevy will run like **** longer than Fords will run at all.

Edit: It was a 15 dollar drill, so I couldn't be too surprised. I laughed more than anything.

I had a pair of Adidas clima cools, that would pump cool air into the shoes, the intakes were in the soles, so any little puddle of water would cause wet feet

+1. Car door handles that break, while hilarious, are a serious pain.

Let's add car keyholes that freeze to that list. Not a design flaw, but a pet peeve that amounts to the same thing.
