If it's about your playing or band, sure, if it's about your odor, not so much.

Most compliments that end in "tastic" are good. Heck even telling a woman "You're skanktastic!" is almost a compliment.

i knew a few "women" back in the day whom didn't think you were talking to them unless you added skank or ho to their name.

Funktastic is most definately comlimentary. Funkalicious is good, too. Funktacular implies that one is on an entirely different, and elite level of funkiness, however.

im working my way up to funktacular. im kind of a funky noob right now. ive been listening to Bootsy Collins, and hoping a little of his funk will rub off on me.

im thinking about signing up for bass lessons with my college for fall semester, to see if a college professor has more ability to teach than the guy i took lessons from when i was first starting out.

How could you not feel complimented when told:
"Your band was funktacular! Your playing was especially funktastic, you practically gave me a funkgasm with your funkredible music!" i ask you?

I would probably answer "Hey jimmy! How the **** are you?" since jimmys the only guy I know that would say that.
