sorry, couldn't help myself!
i honestly don't know about dating someone with my mom's name. we'll see. my dad's name was, john. its so common i think it would be inevitable, if i was dating guys.
slightly off topic, my ex's name is soooo common that i meet women regularly with the same name. i try real hard not to get weirded out. at some point, i am gonna have to confront trying to tap that. its gonna be strange...

Wales is built on nicknames, 'Dai the Murderer', had an accident with a pet budgie years back and 'John the Bastard', would implicate as such, none of it stands up though, it's just fun, noone minds. I think it came about because of same name confusion, so they got tagged with the most prevalent self made myth at the time.

But since I rearely called my mom by her given name it didn't seem too weird.

It would also be possible to date a girl with my dads name, Dale, but I'm sure those are few and far between as well. First and last name, that'd just be too weird.

| | | | My wife did, and so did her sister. No awkward moments, but don't simply say "Hey, Dave" during family get-togethers -- you'd get three "Huh?"s in response. |

I think it's just my take, I don't put a lot of store in names, more like who you are, that's the dif, interesting stuff though, an interesting association.

on the other side of things i'v been hit on by gay guys with the same name as my father that was awkward for other reasons.
