Would you degrade yourself for 4O seconds for $400???

The "guys" at my parttime grocery store job have offered to pay me $400 if I dance for 40 seconds in the front of the store near the tills wearing only a skimpy pair of women's pink shorts.

There would be lots of people watching. Approaching the hundreds. Additionally, I work there and I dont think I'd ever live it down. Not that I really care. Oh yeah, one of the conditions is that I have to do it in front of two of the store managers (who are jerks). I would do it before my shift started so technically they could only hassle me as a customer... I think.

It started out as a dare, then I said no, then they said how about for $200? I responded, make it $400 and I will seriously consider it. I know they could get the money together b/c there is about 300 employees in the store and they could quickly raise enough money. Two of the guys said they'd chip in $50 each already.

These guys are alot younger than me and are way more concerned with ego and what others think of them. Me, not so much.

40 seconds, no problem. It is not even that bad, it's not like if anyone asks you can't tell them why you were doing it, or that you were doing it because you liked dancing in women's clothes. If you laugh whilst you do it, I'm sure everyone will laugh with you. Maybe.

last friday at work we decided to make it a "wear girlfriends underwear" day, I went with my girlfriends pink ones, the thing is that just two of us did it and the other guy took his normal boxer shorts with him to change after a while, making me the only one with sexy undies, of course after a few minutes everyone knew about this and start making a collection to try to make me drop my trousers for a couple of seconds in front of everyone, I did it for 5 pounds (about 10 dollars I think), so yes for 400 I think you should do it, providing you don't give a flying one about your job.

In America they could definitely fire you if they wanted to whether you were on the clock or not.

Is $400 worth getting fired? Seems like the deal breaker is doing it in your own store in front of management, not the dancing in the shorties part. I'd do that for a six pack.

If you don't need the job do it. If the managers are jerks as you say they are don't be suprised if you do get written up or fired. Also, even though it's before your start time for work, you still are an employee, on their property and you still are a representative of their company.

That $400 won't last as long as you think if you're not getting a paycheck.

I'd pay $10 to see the show though.
