Would you give your number?

Here's the scenario:

You're at work and an attractive person asks you for your number. You agree to give them your number, but cannot do so immediately, so you say you'll be back. Sometime between you agreeing to give your number and you returning with the number, the attractive person leaves(without your number).

The next week, the same person comes in. You makes eye contact a couple times but they don't say anything to you.

The week after that, the same person comes in and asks for your number again.

Here's the question:

Would you give this person your number? and why?

The first week they just had to leave when they did. Second week they didn't want to look like a looser by asking you again. It really was up to you the second time, and you blew it. Just be greatfull they've given you another chance.

Actually, in my case, I'm the one asking for the number.

I haven't asked her for her number the second time yet, and was just curious how this might seem from her point of view.

Yes I considered that, but the odd part is she made the first move when I met her. I believe her words were "Hi, my name is ________" followed by "I think you're hot." This was after she stopped one of the girls that was with our little group and asked what my name was. Hence my confusion.

I do think you're at a disadvantage now, and she might in fact have been brushing you off before, BUT: Now you've got an icebreaker opportunity! Now you can say something witty or do something funny or cute that will (a) help her remember you, (b) open the window for you to ask her again, and (c) push you up a notch from "random loser" to "cute funny guy". Or, if your sense of humor or timing or cuteness are poor, you will look like something scraped off the bottom of her shoe. But there's no way to know which way it will go until you do it!

If you want a chics number, you don't leave until you either get it from her or catch the clue she ain't giving it to you and isn't interested.

And IMO/IME the best way to find out is to ask something like "is there a number I can call you on?" She won't want to say no coz she will sound dumb (everyone has a number you can call) so she will have to say yes.
