Wow. The '70's were scary.

I saw a link to this on youtube and had to look. A band I was in in High School did this song. The guitarist did all the wierd vocal parts for us, in stead of the keyboardist, though.

It always seemed a lot less strange at the time than it did looking at thhe video clip, just now.

And also, what is the nearly-a-Les-Paul guitar that he's playing?

I wasn't born until the Early 80's, but my dad says that movie "Dazed and Confused" rules.

It seems like they sped it up a lot, I like the album one better. I always thought that was a sweet song except for the yodeling parts.

That's a tough one to ID, alright, if you haven't happened to hear about it. It's an early ´70s Gibson Les Paul Personal (see below) that Jan Akkerman got Paul Hamer to rebuild with old PAF humbuckers and a tigerstripe maple top.

One of my all time favourite tracks. Awesome drumming. Much more of a shuffle feel to this high tempo live version than the original, which I still prefer. This is a great clip though, thanks.

I was a kid in the 70's, I still think it was one of the best eras for pop/rock music ever.
I remember this song, cool stuff!

The 60's had their moments, too.
Check out this gem - Carmine and Tim Bogert are awesome.

You need an explanation: They're Dutch.

As a man of Dutch blood, I can make these observations.

I knew what you were talking about by the 2nd or 3rd post. Awesomeness- but what else would you expect from a country that legalized weed & prostitution?
