In case you have too much gear and are desperately wanting a 2.5' bong:

http://newjersey.craigslist.org/msg/1773117415.html

For tobacco use only, of course.

This is indeed rare.
It's upside down world.

Mostly people put up stuff for sale (or trade) like vintage guitars, mics, entire backlines (usually belonging to their bandmates) to get the other stuff: waterpipes et al.

Me too. I sold a broken motorcycle helmet the other day for $30. Yes, I said it was broken in the description and I showed the crack to the guy and he bought it anyway.

He asked how it got broke. As a joke, I looked to the sky and faked a few tears then told the guy I don't want to talk about it. He was unfazed and handed over the cash.

You may of just contributed to natural selection, and you got $30 for it!

It definitely doesn't look like it's worth any of those things that they want.

The post was from New Jersey. Being a native I am not surprised.

I'm betting the guy wants to become a rock star, and now he's CL'ing his most valuable possession

Gotta love the optimism though. Yeah, I'd also be willing to trade a bong to an american made bass or a mac computer. Hell, send me a 70's jazz and I'll buy a brand new hand made four footer and throw it in to sweeten the deal..
