And we haven't even felt of the large ice storm they're predicting for tonight.

The roads are frozen over here in NJ with car accidents everywhere. I actually witnessed a car skid across 4 lanes and flip on its side. I pulled over and ended up rescuing the driver and passenger who were trapped inside. What a rush.

Be careful out there and stay home if you can.

Holy cow! Congrats on the save - you stopped and helped instead of just driving on, good for you!
Where in NNJ are you Lublin?

so you guys are getting blasted up there huh?
So far we're getting just a little bit here, not too bad at all but overnight I'm sure it's going to really suck.

Indeed we are.

A lot of people don't understand that concrete freezes before asphalt does and that they need to take it easy on the turns, especially with RWD vehicles. That was the above guy's mistake. I'm surprised the both of them were, thankfully, unscathed.

Tonight's ice storm is (if the predictions hold true), most likely, going to knock out power on a large scale. Be ready.

WOW!! Crazy stuff, I haven't been outside since this morning, but it wasn't so bad when I left. This winter has been rough on NJ. Great job.

Is there any part of the US that is NOT part of some "tri-state area?" When I was growing up it was Vermont-New Hampshire-Maine. Then I moved down to New York and learned that the "tri-state area" is supposedly New Jersey-New York-Connecticut. Then I lived in the midwest and the "tri-state area" was Illinois - Indiana - Michigan.

Anyone out there not living in some tri-state area? Personally I suspect every local TV news station in the country calls whatever three states are closest to their broadcasting center "the tri-state area."

Hawaii? Alaska? I'd imagine they would have a tough time with coming up with a Tri-State area!

I dont know if California is lumped into a 'tri-state area' though it just as easily could be. However, California doesnt really need the association, it pretty much stands on its own.

And they actually want to have a SuperBowl, outside, in the Northeast in February.

Seriously? I don't think so. Hopefully this winter puts the kibosh on that really bad idea.

I complain about the weather up here from time to time, but the fact is that I've grown to love it. I think I'd go mad if I moved somewhere without four seasons.

Besides, I NEED to snowboard!
