Have you guys noticed how crappy wrapping paperis these days? I can't even cut this thin junk without it ripping. I remember it being stronger. What the heck. I just screwed up another present, have to start over.

eventually they'll just sell paint so you can just paint the box that it (the present) comes in instead of wrapping it.

This year, my girlfriend complained about the same thing. So she just used plain, brown wrapping paper, and decorated it with a solid coloured ribbon and rubber stamped christmassy stuff all over it while I kick back, drank beer, and watched Die Hard.

It truly is a Chrimbus miracle!

Buy better wrapping paper, you get what you pay for and that applies to EVERYTHING.

Two words: Gift bags.

Easier to use, especially after you've had a few drinks, and they are a lot stronger than the tissue thin wrapping paper that is now too common.

By the way, Merry Christmas/Chanukkah/Kwanzaa/Ramadan/Chrimbus etc. to you all!

I shall heed your advice, and only use imported brown paper gift bags next year

I think it must be a 'monster chain store thing'... I've got some super thin and cheap crap from Walmart or Target, but I also have good stuff I've bought at small chains / craft stores.

golly, I really don't understand why this 20 rolls for a dollar wrapping paper does not obscure the treasures inside in adequate fashion due to a lack of opacity. Oh, and it rips. I feel slighted by the man.

You're not the only one...without the people working at Pizza Hut, my Christmas party wouldn't exist.
