Wrestling: Y2J Returns!

Sign in to disble this ad
This Monday after weeks of teases saying the End is coming and much hype that I avoided spoilers to enjoy we get this

Chris Jericho returns to Raw 2/1/12 [HQ] - YouTube

To sum it up he spends ten minutes not saying a word and acting as if he was high on something.

Now as a wrestling fan of many years of my 22 years of existance I can safetly say that I have seen it all wrestling wise but, then again after this I don't think I ever EVER experinced that.

To tell the truth I thought that someone else was coming to the WWE like maybe Brodus Clay who the interim GM Johnny Ace kept saying next week you can come to RAW every week.

Basically I'm saying that I was let down both by the Y2J thing and the WWE fallback of always promoting the return of Y2j with cryptic messages Hey WWE how about next time Y2J arrives you don't do the commericials that would really suprise us.

Is anyone else excited or suprised that Y2J came back?
Don't get me wrong the WWE needs someone like Y2J now that's Randy's injured and to be honest he's basically the only main eventer from the Attitude Era left that the WWE has to work with. He should be a perfect guy to take on Kane and Cena if Cena should turn heel.

Now that Brock had the shizzle kicked out of him enough to call no joy in the UFC .. I'd expect to see him back soon.

I don't think Vince is gonna let him come back so easily he is known for his grudges afterall. Besides I think Brock has made himself a pretty good career in MMA with or without UFC backing him I think he could do well on his own. If he does comeback though I'd love to see him feud with Mark Henry, The Big Show, Kane, Cena, the Rock (If they can make that happen), CM Punk (Think the notorious steroid user vs. the Straight Edge guy) and finally maybe Nash if only for a chance to see Brock F5 him.

Saw that on WWE.com. I may be Canadian, but I'm no Jericaholic. I find him to be too whiney, either heel or face.
In ring, I see nothing special.

Golddust is busy kicking someone in the nuts somewhere else.

I used to like Chris Jericho back in the day.. Walls of Jericho was kind of cool and his band Fozzy was entertaining enough, but I grew tired of him. Didn't he eventually go to TNA for a while?

Regardless, I haven't been up to date on WWE in years and don't find the current wrestlers appealing in the slightest. After growing up watching some of the best wrestling, nothing can replace those kinds of moments.

is he in better shape this time? he made a pretty decent heavyweight push.. now with tights and lifts in his shoes so he looks like a big boy. all because he's too old and out of shape to keep up with cruiser weights. especially the current ones. old lionheart couldnt hang with sin cara/mistico.

i enjoy his mouth and caustic wit. not so much his wrestling anymore. i want to see a lionsault, rarely see it.

hes off being 40. apparently was involved with NXT and is some sort of injured and working backstage.

he will always have a job. even if his career/character is pretty much obsolete.

As Rhodes disparaged Booker – calling him a washed up announcer – his older brother, Dustin, came out to speak in Booker’s defense.

Dustin – whose alter ego is Goldust – said that when he was down and out, Booker took him under his wing and inspired him. But Cody didn’t want to hear any of it. Booker backed up his defender, saying he was more of man than Cody would ever be. Next, Booker said he wanted to face Cody for his Intercontinental Title. After Rhodes agreed to face Booker next week on SmackDown, he blasted his own brother with a cheap shot kick to the groin and a leaping kick to the face from the second rope."

I agree his skills have somewhat gone but, he's getting older it's only natural heck Big Show uset to be able to go to the top rope look it up it was at a WCW pay per view when he was in the NWO during a tag title match he did a second rope missile dropkick.

On the Sin Cara thing he is so fast I doubt anyone in the WWE can seriously keep up with him besides Evan Bourne.

Just like any kid I grew up through the 90's watching WWF (and WCW). It's nice to see some of the guys I remember watching still wrestling. Now I pretty much stopped watching WWF..err WWE I guess it's called now full time back in the early 2000's, but do tune in from time to time. I will say it has became a little sad through, almost nothing like the WWF I once knew. I get times change and things move on, but the last time I tuned into Raw recently I only knew about 5 guys from back in the day (and of course Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross.) I just did not find the show to be that entertaining or much about wrestling anymore. The story lines and matches were pretty stale as well. From what I understand though is WWE is sort of tanking right now, they need to try to take some pages out of the Attitude and early era's, that was when it was fun and good.

Yeah and your late by alot.

Well now the threads revived anybody ready to see the WWE network?

Found this video for an old WWE game called Crush Hour that basically had the Vince MacMahon game plan

wwe crush hour intro - YouTube

BTW this game sucked hard.

@kljest: Yeah, I saw Randy Orton vs Wade Barret on Smackdown last night in a No DQ match where nobody got a chairshot to the head. Granted they are career shorteners but, after being apart of wrestling history it feels stupid to just not see one during a street fight in the biggest wrestling company in the world. We need the hardcore title back and the cruiserweight belt for sure. Attitude era was the best.
