I shared Stephen King's book, "On Writing", with my retired father, and he proceeded to rewrite *his* entire book, and publish it under King's influence. Dad said he revisited every single chapter because of Stephen King. Be open. Anyone can kick butt, potentially, but writing (well) takes a part of your soul. It's no coincidence that so many writers end up alcoholics. It always will take a toll to do it well, alcohol or not. Be prepared, if you're serious. Best wishes.

Find the publishers in your market. Write it in outline form first, then send out queries to the publishers. If you get interest flesh it out. If you don't scrap it and move on to the next idea.

Now if you're doing it for the love of writing, have fun. Additionally, I certainly hope you write it with better grammar than your OP. Get a copy of Stephen King's On Writing.

Edit: I just saw oneweb's post. So plus one on the Stephen King book.

If you're writing to get published, you'll have to write to a particular market.

If you're writing for you, write to your heart's content.
