Yay!!! I can finally play my bass again.

I slammed my left index finger in my car door a few days ago. I assumed it was broken, but I didn't go to the hospital because I wasn't sure if I still had health insurance. I thought the swelling would go down and the pain would go away. Every day that went by the pain got worse and my finger got larger. There was a ton of fluid trapped under the fingernail. Finally I went to the emergency room and sat for five hours. Luckily, my finger isn't broken and after a quick lancing of my fingernail with a cauterizer I feel soo much better. I had it done last night and I can actually use the finger when I play already. It hurts a bit, but the pleasure of playing again is worth the pain. Before I had the nail punctured my finger looked like a sausage and if anyone breathed on it, it hurt like hell. I'm just so happy to be able to play again.
