So I went to move this door at work today, looked like any standard run of the mill door. So I pick it up as such, it is not, it belonged to a tank or something apparently. In the process it appears that I strained a muscle in my abdomen int he process. the question is what do i do about it. Its not a bad pain just a dull kinda pain when i sit up or cough. Like ice or compression or do i throw an ACE bandage on it. Id really like it to go away soon seeing as i do a lot of crouching then standing up then crouching again(electrican). And id like to be able to be 100% at work.

Just keep popping it and sooner or later you'll develop a 100% uptime 5 oclock shadow, a limp (a cane will magically appear for you, don't worry about that) and a misanthropic demeanor. At that point you'll make 9.6 million dollars a year.

The same thing happened to me a few years ago when I had extreme sinusitis and was blowing my nose with great fury and hostility one day. I lived with the pain for about a year not really knowing what it was until I noticed a visible lump in the area. I had to have it surgically repaired, a minor procedure where they put in a bit of mesh in to help strengthen the abdominal wall. Get it checked out by a doctor, if not taken care of it could get worse over time!

Fast forward 2 months later and it hurt too much to sleep and had pulled my pelvis out of line so that it hurt to walk. I've been doing physical therapy for about 3 1/2 months now, and I'm almost done. If there's anything I learned, it's that if you think you've injured yourself, you probably have, and to get it fixed before it gets worse. If you have the means (i.e. Insurance and/or money), go to a doctor and at least get it looked at.
