Just got a brand new set of Top Flite XL clubs... now how the hell do I organize this thing?
I'll be hitting the range tomorrow with a buddy... got some balls for the chip and putt, and maybe play a round on the par 3 on Sunday depending on how I do at the range.

Any other items such as ball retrievers or anything else are worked in somewhere out of the way. |

Hopefully I've been away from baseball long enough to forget that and start all over as a golfer. I haven't swung a club in years, but can't wait to hit the driving range tomorrow!

I am playing in a charity tournament on Saturday, really hope I break 100 (yeah, I suck).

Just like with bass, a good golf teacher will help you get on the right path and teach you proper technique.
Since we are talking about clubs, I guess I'll post what I got today. I finally upgraded my putter. I just had a Odyssey White Hot XG #7 putter delivered to me today from callawaygolfpreowned.com. |

I've had my share of putters from Carbite to Odyssey, but my favorite putter is a $10 Wilson I bought from Wal-Mart, believe it or not. It gets the job done, balances really well and has a big sweet spot for a blade putter. It's the SX of putters! |

I plan to take lessons... but I want to get a bit of experience with the clubs first so it's not a completely foreign motion to me.
The golf course by me offers a set of four classes with a few people for $150. I think that's what I'm going to sign up for.

It's the SX of putters! | I've been using inexpensive putters all my life, and never gave the expensive ones much thought. The other day I was looking at my putter, and it was pretty beat up (about 6 years old). It is a tour select or something like that, that I think I bought at either walmart or kmart. I went to my local pro shop who had many, many different putters of all shapes, sizes, and price ranges. I decided I was going to pick up every single putter in the place, and without looking at the brand and price tag, just pick one that simply felt the best. I was quite shocked that the one I picked ended up costing about $120 new. There was no way I was spending that much on a putter, so I just walked out. However, I couldn't forget how that putter felt. So I did some research online and found it at callawaygolfpreowned.com for $75 shipped in like new condition. I decided to go for it. |

Maybe he can set you on the right path. You don't want to pick up any nasty habits if you can help it. Learning proper swing technique now while you are just starting will put you ahead of a lot of people. Always good to start with a clean slate. |

I want to try and play a round when I am in Denver next week. I want to test out this whole "the ball flies farther in high altitudes" theory.
