Makes it to the top 5. Five Guys, Subway Top In-N-Out, Taco Bell In Zagat's Fast Food Survey
I'm not crazy after all. And not alone either.
Taco Bell, don't ever leave me. OK? |

As far as Taco Bell, I love me a 7 layer burrito from time to time. Their dehydrated then rehydrated ground beef scares me though. |

-Never been to In-N-Out Burger but I hear their good.
-Taco Bell should've made #2 on the Mega Chains list. Subway is a solid #1
-Even though I don't eat there anymore, Chick-Fil-A has the best fries in both function and taste. By function, I mean neatly layering them into a Chicken Sandwich, with a bit of salt n' pepper.
-Were pizza chains not allowed or something because Dominos and Papa John's smash half of those guys listed.

I tell him "I don't want real Mexican food unless it taste like fake real Mexican food!"

| | Registered User | | | | The survey is badly discredited for me by the selection of McDonalds for #1 Best Fries.
Taco Bell, although I don't do it all the time, is a guilty pleasure. The fact that it's not "real" Mexican is irrelevent. |

McDonald's is a very close second, but when I really want to clear the insides, Taco Bell, every time. In and Out is just too damn easy, name being such a literal result...like a bullet train from mouth to anus.

Never, not once, have they got everything right. And even then, they'd struggle to be in my top 10 fast food joints.

Living in NY I think I crave it more than most because they closed them all down around me. I think there are now only 3 of them in Brooklyn. Or at least within reasonable driving distance. When I was at NAMM in Cali there were millions of them. I went running one morning and my bandmate asked how far I was going. I jokingly said I'm running 2 Taco Bells. I did. You can actually measure distance and give driving directions by them over there. Go straight for 2 taco bells, then amake a left at the 3rd...
As for real Mexican food, there are places in NY where you can get it, but I've also been to Mexico, LA, and lots of other places where I've experienced it. In all honesty, I not as big a fan of the real deal as I am of the more Americanized Mexican places. And that doesn't make me a bad person.
Must mention also that I'm a vegetarian. I only buy Taco Bell sans beef/chicken. Mostly bean burritos, 7 layer, grilled stuffed (-meat) and cheezy gordita crunches (also -meat). All works excellently as a colon cleanse too. I used to take psyllium, but I swear Bell works better.
