Yet Another Paypal Question.

Sign in to disble this ad
I searched all over the internet but I didn't find the answer to my question
I recently bought a bass (Skjold on the way!!! ) and paid with a echeck. I have enough money in my paypal balance but I read that paypal will take the money from my bank and not my balance?!? I don't have enough money in my bank!! so my question is: are they gonna try to take the money from my bank or are they gonna use my paypal balance?
Thanks a lot guys!!

If there isn't enough in your paypal balance they take from your primary source of funds for the difference.

Hmm. Know what man? I could be wrong, but the way I understand it is that an eCheck withdrawls directly from your bank account. I'd call Paypal and ask for sure though.

Unhappy Lesson learned!

Well.
They completely ignored my paypal balance and went straight to my bank account. Now my bank shows a -$1237 balance.....
I talked to my bank and they fixed everything but charged me $30 bucks.

Sorry to hear it. FWIW there are two things to know there: (1) e-checks come from your bank, not your PPal balance; (2) for direct transfers, they always give you the option of selecting the payment source. So your best bet would have been a direct transfer, selecting your PPal balance as the source, rather than an e-check.

Agreed

I was just trying to avoid the paypal fees (a echeck is only 5 bucks), if you pay with your ppal balance they charge the seller 3%. At the end it all worked out!
