Seriously, dude checked the defenceman into the goalie and followed through. To me that is an interference penalty (having reffed for 3 years), regardless of if the goal went in or not.

While it may have been a regular interference penalty, I would never call goalie interference on "incidental" contact where only the Caps player knocks over his own goalie.
Either way, the refs say its a goal. Nothing anyone can do about that. |
