Doze off then wake up after a few minutes and have no idea where you are or what is going on?

It just happened to me. I fell asleep in front of my computer here for about 15 minutes. When I woke up, I had no idea where I was. Weird....

I do that. My first panicked thought is always "How long was I asleep?"

If I'm in a car and not driving I usually do it several times the entire trip, regardless of how much sleep I got.

Hmm. Can't say I ever forget where I am, but I do always freak out about how long I've been asleep until I realize it usually was only for 20 or so minutes.

traveling without driving does it to me too.

I hate when you doze off for a few minutes in the 5 to 6 pm hours in the winter... wake up and look at the clock and think it's 5 to 6 AM!!! I actually put on coffee and showered before I realized it wasn't morning once!

I don't do that, but I have been known to get up, go to the kitchen, and have no idea why I went there, or what I was going to get.

All the time. I always here weird carnival music before I nod off. Sometimes it's my own snoring that wakes me up, and I normally don't snore.

Been there done that myself. Woke up one time and instantly began stressing thinking "Oh crap, I'm late!"

If I'm with my wife or daughter on public transport and they doze off - I wake them by grabbing their arm and screaming, they always wake up screaming for a few seconds until they realise where they are and the shame I have caused.
Makes me laugh anyway.

I get that too and hate it. It's the worry on a train or bus of "where the hell am I?"

I've done that many a times.
Once I even did that at a long, boring training seminar in work. Somehow by the grace of god I was in the back of the room behind a computer monitor as was everyone else so I got away unseen as far as I can tell. The only problem came when I jerked awake really quick and kicked the footrest under the desk loudly. For a few seconds I had no idea where I was or why everyone was looking back at me..

I've woken up and freaked out thinking I was extremely late for something, only to realize I already did it that day.

Yep, it seems like it's happened more often recently. And it only seems to happen when I fall asleep on a couch, lol. I'll wake up and be completely confused as to how or why I was there when I was clearly somewhere else... I think .

Happens to me all the time. One time I woke up in the back seat of a guy's car screaming, thinking I was falling down the grand canyon, for some reason. I had just dozed off for a couple of minutes. Needless to say, the other guys in the car got a real good laugh out of it, at my expense.
