I dunno, it seems to be written by a guy with an inferiority complex who's been hurt one too many times...

The gratuitous dropping of F-bombs demonstrates his inability to successfully convey feeling. I mean, I've written pieces in high school with less vulgarity and more emotion than this.

I get that argument a lot(as I have a tendency to drop F-bombs around people I'm comfortable with), but I've found that the use of "vulgar" language gets exactly what I want in the end; a rise out of someone.

Thoughtcatalog.com appeals more to users who are under the age of 35; its audience also tends to consist of childless, moderately educated women browsing from school and work.
