On the desk in front of you is a DVD and a book. Both the same title. Which do you undertake? Reading or watching?

I'll use the book to set my glass on while I watch the DVD.

Depends on which movie/book. Some books are pretty boring and need the visual aspect of the book to help them along. However most books are way more interesting than the movie.

I would probably go for the book to be honest. I'd give it a fair chance and if it sucked I may or may not finish it.

book. I love to sit with a beer or two and read a good book. So yeah, it's about drinking the beer but the book helps me slow my intake in order to maintain a steady but not over the top buzz.

The book, unless it was performed as a radio play, sometimes nice to use your imagination ; )

9 times out of 10, the book. And if it was a good one, I'd leave the room when the DVD was playing so that I kept my pictures in my head instead of having someone else's in there.

Assuming I don't know the book/movie, and have time to read it, I'd go for the book, then watch the movie. You already knew that though ya hoser.

The book. If it is worth reading, the dvd may later be worth watching.

Unless the book is one of the Lord of the Rings books, I'll use the DVD as a coaster and dive right into the book.

It depends what the title is. Novel? Biography? History? Definitely book. Porno? DVD.

Books are amazing devices. Every time I use one, the story goes exactly at the right pace for me to follow what's happening.

Depends how much time I have. I'll go for the book most of the time, but I'll probably finish up the book and watch the DVD. I love to compare.

If the title is 'sexy asian chicks' then I'm watching the DVD. Repeatedly.

And wipe with the book?

If you're going to do both, always go for the book first.
